TIME CARDS
We are proud to have you on our team! Though
you will explore a variety of new assignments, our standard
procedure will remain the same.
REMEMBER TO:
- Take your time card with you on each assignment
- Know the name and address of the company as well as the
person to whom you are reporting
- Arrive a few minutes early
- Dress appropriately
- Introduce yourself and ask for the person to who you are
reporting
- Show confidence
- Ask Questions. It is better to ask and do it right
- Be professional
- Be accurate and conscientious about your work
- Remember that reliable temps are the best temps. Being
dependable makes an impression and we undoubtedly call you
more often.
NOTE: If an original timecard is not available,
you may print and use
this online timecard.

ABOUT YOUR TIME CARDS
- Enter the correct information on the card, including your
name and social security number.
- The correct name and address of the company should be
included, as well as the ending date of the week in which
you are working. The week ending date is always on Sunday.
- If you are returning to the assignment, please indicate
on the time card in the box provided.
- The time card must be signed by someone within the organization
at the end of your work week. You will not receive a paycheck
without a signed time card.
- Keep accurate track of your hours each day and round off
your hours to the nearest quarter hour.
Make sure your total number of hours is correct before the
time card is signed.
- After the signature is obtained, give the company the
pink copy, keep the gold copy for your records and mail
or deliver the white (original) and yellow copies to our
office. * NOTE - You may fax a copy of the time card in
order to receive payment on time, but please send the original
copy back to the office at your earliest convenience. Fax
(760) 346-2455.
- Time cards must be received no later than Tuesday at 12:00
noon in order for paychecks to be received on time.
- Checks are available for pick-up on Thursday.
Check processing may vary if there is a holiday within the
week. Our office will keep you apprised of any of these
changes.
- Mark your time card as to whether you want us to mail
or hold your check. If neither box is marked, the check
will be mailed. If you would like to change your request from mail to pick-up (or vice-versa), let us know of the change before 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
- Checks that are mailed are usually delivered in one or
two days. Speedy deliveries vary often depending on our
having your correct address. However, mail time can vary
greatly and because of this our office policy requires that
if a check is not received, a waiting period of seven days
is necessary before a new check can be issued. A ten-dollar
bank charge will be required for all checks reissued prior
to the waiting period. Faults of the US Mail Service is
something that Desert Temps can not control. To avoid these
problems we recommend personal pick-up.
- You are responsible for keeping us current with any changes.
The address on your W-4 form is where we mail your check.
If you have a new address or phone number, or if your marital
status changes please let us know immediately.
Desert Temps is a special group of people
and we are pleased to have you on board!
